So, it’s super Tuesday. Ostensibly the harbinger of what is to come in half of our political lives for the next eight months. OMG!
Now, I have been rather outspoken about my political leanings despite my historical affiliation with the Republican party. This has brought recriminations my way with suggestions that I return to places which I actually doubt exist . . or that I do things to myself that I think are probably impossible 😊 . So, having said that, I will now open myself up for another well-deserved barrage of abuse from the gun-toting, bigoted crazies on the right (yes, that’s Donald Trump supporters).
I would like to make a small case for the Democratic Party to go for a more moderate candidate. I personally like the style of Bernie Sanders whose blustery nature and commitment to his beliefs are worthy of respect and admiration. However, despite the fact that he has the support of the Russians, Donald Trump, and idealistic Democrats who would like a revolution to happen, I don’t think he can win.
Why do you think Donald Trump is supporting him? And, why do you think Trump was trying to use the federal government to illegally blackmail Ukraine into trashing Joe Biden?
As a note, I actually like Pete B. the best . . his personality and his ability to communicate clearly and effectively. But, I don’t believe he would have been the best from an experience perspective . . perhaps in 4 or 8 years.
So, if Bernie Sanders is chosen, we have to all pray that a revolution is in the making; otherwise, it will be Donald Trump for at least four years . . (i.e. he may decide he likes it there).
So, how often do revolutions of this magnitude actually happen?
Not very often. Is it worth the gamble?
