RICO

There is certainly a lot of complaining that Donald Trump is unfairly being accused of acting like a Mafia crime boss.  He is certainly acting like a crime boss, so the only question is . . . is it fair?

He has all the markings of a crime boss . . requires loyalty oaths, uses his bully pulpit for punishing people or companies with which he has a personal vendetta, obstructs investigations which are focused on himself, incites groups to carry out his agenda  (i.e. bully journalists at his rallys), in a very similar way that Hitler used these types of groups.

In his defense, he is not very bright and is easily manipulated by, at least, Putin and Fox News.

So, is it fair?  Hard to know.  But, as long as he acts like a mob boss or Russian operative, he can’t complain that the coverage isn’t accurate.

The constitution grants a lot of power to the President, because it assumes that the President is a person of substance, with a strong moral underpinning, and not a dilettante or worse.  Perhaps, we should reconsider this concept.

Fortunately, we have the RICO statutes to deal with ongoing criminal enterprises.
