Learn One for the Gipper

As a society we are continuing to grow.  But, there are the inevitable growing pains.  And, unfortunately, these are not easy to resolve especially since our global society is now larger than any that have come before it.  I know.  I was there    😊      .

But, as we have learned the lessons, we have had to scrap the outdated artifacts of the past and replace them with better laws and societal processes.

At the same time, the technology of bureaucracies is growing.

In the past the workers in a bureaucracy have felt the need to be loyal to the head of the group.  So, workers have resigned when they didn’t support the leader’s vision.  This has worked . . IN THE PAST.  But, when leaders are corrupt or incompetent, resigning only empowers the leader to be a bad actor.

Do we really want a corrupt government for the future?  Do we really want to become the third-world country with a corrupt leader and corrupt institutions?  These are the stakes in the next election.

And, the lesson for bureaucracies is that you can’t quit.  You have to stay and fight.
