The impeachment trial is another curious test for Republican leadership. It is a case where the key things being measured are intelligence and love of this country.
This is the proverbial case where The Donald shoots someone in broad daylight on Fifth Avenue in New York.
Donald Trump is obviously guilty.
The proceedings are mandated and legal.
So, what is the question?
Can Republican leadership perform as adults or will they continue to be the brown-nosing, brown-shirted syncophants that they have been?
Nazi history does not present an optimistic sign. Cult figures tend to drink the Kool-Aid.
Let’s hope that the Republican leadership really drinks the Kool-Aid.
