I once had a great idea, but now it’s gone. I am not sure where it went.
The more I think about it, the more I think that it couldn’t have been a great idea if I forgot it so quickly . . an expression direct from my mother.
But we all know it’s not the idea, no matter how great it is, that is important; it’s what you do with it that makes the difference. Steve Allen used to keep a book of ideas for comedic sketches. Copying Steve, I kept a book of all the ideas that would change the world and make it a better place.
I used to document those ideas with the firm intention of implementing them when I had more time. I designed an airplane that was silent, didn’t require more than human power to run, and could hover while you explored the undiscovered mountains and valleys that were out of reach because roads never go there . . what one might discover!
My retirement brought me the time.
I just can’t seem to remember what I did with the book.
