Recently, when I have been running or walking fast for a period of time, I would have some pain in my chest. When I slow down it goes away. This doesn’t bother me on a daily basis, because I very rarely exert myself to that degree. However, I was concerned so I went to the doctor and asked about it. He recommended an echocardiogram, which showed an irregular beat when I was exerting myself near 80% of my capacity.
So they recommended an angiogram which showed that there was some blockage in the arteries to the heart. We are going to a surgeon on Monday to find out their recommended solutions.
I am anticipating the meeting with the surgeon. But, it does remind me of when I was programming in COBOL. I was an expert. I could do virtually anything with the language. But, I did hear that some languages were better than others to do certain kinds of things. That didn’t impress me. I knew COBOL and could do anything with it!
