The world seems to be teeming with autocratic bullies and syncophants.
Take for example Boris Johnson, another DT wannabe. They have decided that they don’t want to live up to their international agreement with the European Union because they didn’t like the consequences of what they had previously agreed to.
Poor dictators. Being put upon by having to live up to their prior agreements.
It almost reminds you of Trump and his bankruptcies, which are just legalized breeches of agreements.
There is an unwritten rule in political contests you should concentrate on policies and not personalities or personal characteristics. What really matters is how they are going to govern, create policies, create laws and ensure the rule of law, not the color of their skin or how they dress to play golf.
But, in this election, there are no policies available to consider. Trump decided not to develop them . . I guess it would seem crass to have a policy that he is going to do whatever benefits himself and his family financially and legally.
He famously decided to use the Republican Convention as an illegal (i.e. use of the White House as a political prop) political infomercial, instead of as a platform for determining and explaining the Republican policy for the next four years.
Note that the Department of Justice who should be enforcing these breeches of law didn’t act to prevent it or prosecute afterwards. Is that collusion with Bill Barrski, a possible Russian operative, I wonder 😊 ?
Anyway, the real issue is that the personality should not be on the ballot. But, in this situation, that is all there is. And, it does make a difference.
Would we really vote for a sociopath who works only to gratify himself and be worshipped by his syncophants?
I guess we are going to see.
