A Surprisingly Prescient Moment

The Lincoln Project has been talking to Republicans to find out why they would vote for a hopelessly incompetent person as President of the United States.  One of their discoveries is that many Republicans don’t actually think about the person or candidate. . . they find that they should vote Republican because it is their cusom to do so.

It is clearly the non-thinking and non-intelligent part of the electorate, and, from my point of view, probably the majority of the Republican electorate. Well, we all know about the 30 – 40% of sycophantic Americans that fall into this category . . and, since the Republican electorate is approximately 50% of the total, we can conclude that 20% to 40% of Republicans are of the thinking variety.

These are the people the Lincoln Project are going after.  After all, not everyone can be of the Texas variety that ran the Joe Biden Campaign Bus off the road on Saturday.

Do you remember Apple’s Super Bowl ad about the zombie business-people following their leader over a cliff?

Who says football is just a sport?  It was a surprisingly prescient moment!
